Ice Cream Production Plant

Ice Cream Production Plant

Henderson, Nevada

Description

C&L completed a design/build ammonia refrigeration expansion project for new ice cream production lines at a plant in Henderson, NV. Four new screw-type compressors were installed, totaling approximately 2,000 horsepower. Design includes the installation of a new 84” diameter intercooler on the high side and utilizing low suction temperatures and efficient thermosyphon oil cooling. The ammonia expansion supplied refrigeration for hardening tunnels and ice cream continuous freezers, which were integrated and controlled by a custom Allen Bradley PLC.
